Motorcycle Gunmen Kill JUI-F Cleric Maulana Abdus Salam in Charsadda

Police have opened a multi-angle investigation with responsibility still unclaimed.

Motorcycle-borne attackers opened fire on the cleric’s car on the Mandani–Takhthbhai road in Charsadda, killing him on the spot.
The incident falls under Mandani Police Station, and the body was taken to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Abdus Salam served on JUI-F’s provincial council and led Madrassa Abu Bakr Siddiq in Angar Bari Band, Tehsil Tangi.
No group has taken responsibility, though prior attacks on JUI-F members have been claimed by ISIS, according to earlier reports.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the killing as investigators work to determine the motive and identify those involved.
