- A motion filed in Hancock County Superior Court alleges probation violations by Eliot Cutler, the disbarred attorney and former Maine gubernatorial candidate.
- Cutler has been summoned to Hancock County Superior Court in Ellsworth for a probation revocation hearing on Dec. 16.
- An affidavit states that on Sept. 8 Cutler visited a San Francisco–area massage parlor website and answered escort preference questions, coinciding with a travel permit request to California.
- The filing also alleges that on Oct. 2 he connected to the internet using an external USB drive and two unmonitored cellphones, which the Maine State Computer Crimes Unit later reported had been reset.
- Cutler pleaded guilty in May 2023 to possession of child sexual abuse material, received a four-year sentence with all but nine months suspended and six years of probation, and was released early in January 2024.
