Overview

• Deputies responded early Monday to a home near a pond off FM 1008 north of Dayton after reports of a possible drowning.
• All four were pulled from the water, according to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office.
• The mother and her 11-year-old daughter were transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann in Houston and remain in critical condition.
• A 15-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy were taken to other hospitals and are listed in stable condition.
• Deputies said the father reported the mother was trying to drown the children and that he rescued one child after hearing screams.
