Mother on Trial for Murder and Child Cruelty in Son's Death

Christina Robinson, 30, denies murdering her three-year-old son, Dwelaniyah, and faces charges of child cruelty.
Robinson allegedly used a bamboo cane on her son, claiming the Bible permitted her to chastise him. A cane with the boy's blood and tissue was found at their home.
The prosecution argues Dwelaniyah suffered fatal head injuries from being shaken violently, in addition to being scalded with hot water.
Robinson was having an affair and attempting to conceive with a sperm donor while her husband served in the RAF.
The trial, revealing a pattern of abuse and neglect, is expected to last four weeks.
