  • Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle said it is believed the baby was stillborn and that this is a safeguarding inquiry, not a criminal one.
  • Authorities had issued an urgent appeal to locate the mother, stressing that her welfare and safety is a priority.
  • The pub remained closed on the day following the discovery but planned to reopen the next day.
