Mother of Abducted Premature Baby Extradited to France, Faces Charges

Santiago, a premature baby born eight weeks early, was abducted by his parents from a hospital in Seine-Saint-Denis on October 21.
The parents fled with Santiago to Belgium and then the Netherlands, triggering international search efforts and arrest warrants.
Dutch police apprehended the family in an Amsterdam hotel on October 25, and Santiago was safely returned to France on October 31.
The mother, Christina N., accepted a fast-tracked extradition process and is now in France, where she faces charges of abduction and sequestration.
The father, Kevin D., remains in the Netherlands, having opted for a prolonged extradition process, potentially extending his legal proceedings.
