Overview
- Vincenzo Lirosi, a 22-year-old University of New Hampshire student, was found dead in December 2021 due to drowning and acute intoxication.
- His mother, Robin Lirosi, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Scorpion’s Bar & Grill, the Sigma Chi fraternity's UNH chapter, its national organization, and several individual members of the fraternity.
- The lawsuit alleges that Lirosi was served 17 drinks at Scorpion’s Bar & Grill in under four hours on the night of his death, of which he consumed at least nine.
- Lirosi, who was heavily intoxicated, was involved in a violent brawl at the Sigma Chi fraternity house, where he was punched, kicked and pushed to the ground.
- Unable to protect himself, Lirosi was left to stumble into the nearby woods, where he drowned in a small body of water, with no member of the fraternity ensuring his safety, according to the lawsuit.
