Mother and Boyfriend Charged in Death of 3-Year-Old Elijah Vue

The remains of the young boy were discovered in Wisconsin woods months after his disappearance, leading to new charges against his mother and her partner.

Katrina Baur and Jesse Vang face additional charges after the remains of 3-year-old Elijah Vue were found in a wooded area in Wisconsin.
Elijah was last seen in February at Vang's home in Two Rivers, and his remains were discovered by a hunter in September.
Baur is charged with chronic neglect resulting in death, child neglect, and obstructing an officer, while Vang faces charges including physical abuse causing death and hiding a corpse.
The investigation revealed that Baur left Elijah with Vang for disciplinary reasons, and Vang reported him missing after allegedly finding him gone upon waking from a nap.
Bail hearings for both Baur and Vang are scheduled, and they have previously pleaded not guilty to earlier charges related to child neglect.
