Most Carmakers Lift September 0 km Prices Above 4% in Uneven Repricing

Manufacturers are moving at different speeds to recalibrate lists after a recent peso devaluation.

Overview

  • The majority of automakers raised new-car list prices by more than 4% for September, with wide variation by brand and model.
  • Toyota posted an average increase of about 4.7%, with imported models such as Corolla, Yaris and Hilux up between roughly 3.5% and 6%.
  • Chevrolet lifted prices around 4.4% on average, including larger moves for the Onix (+7.5%), Tracker (+6%) and Montana (+5%).
  • Ford increased the locally made Ranger by about 4.2% on average, while imported SUVs and pickups rose between roughly 4.5% and 5%.
  • Stellantis limited most list changes to about 0.5% but raised imported vans by 10%, and Mercedes-Benz kept prices unchanged for a third straight month.
