Mossad stops terror plot by Revolutionary Guard meant to kill Israelis in Cyprus after arresting Iranian plot leader

The Israeli intelligence agency Mossad captured an IRGC terror operative planning attacks in Cyprus.
Mossad apprehended the operative, Yousef Shahbazi Abbasalilo, in Iran where he confessed to receiving orders and weapons from IRGC officials to carry out attacks on Israeli businessmen in Cyprus.
Abbasalilo's confession allowed Cypriot authorities to arrest several other members of the terrorist cell comprised of Iranians, Pakistanis and Cypriots.
Mossad's operation prevented loss of life and showcased their capabilities in confronting Iran's terrorist ambitions abroad.
The disrupted plot is the latest in a series of recent terror attempts by Iran against Israelis in Cyprus, Turkey, Georgia and Greece that have been thwarted.
