Moscow’s XIII Motorcycle Festival Kicks Off to Close Riding Season
City officials pair the parade with a road-safety push after a 14% drop in crashes even as rider deaths remain a concern.

- Thousands of motorcyclists set off from Sparrow Hills at 12:00, led by 26 clubs, to ride the outer Garden Ring before returning, in an event dedicated to the 80th Victory anniversary.
- Temporary restrictions from 11:40 closed the Garden Ring’s outer side and streets including Kosygina, Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya and Smolenskaya, plus Berezhkovskaya Embankment and Borodinsky Bridge.
- Access and parking are limited near key sites such as Gorky Park, the Atrium mall, Kursky railway station and the Satire Theatre, with movement restored as the column passes.
- The festival features concerts, master classes, stunt and flat-track shows, a Motoledi contest and field kitchens, with free entry and activities scheduled until 18:00.
- Deputy mayor Maxim Liksutov reported a 14% year-on-year drop in traffic accidents, acknowledged motorcyclist fatalities, and said about 110,000 motorcycles are registered in Moscow.
