Overview
- Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that street parking will be free across Moscow from December 31 through January 10.
- On January 11, Sunday pricing applies with free parking except on streets priced at 380, 450, or 600 rubles per hour and in dynamic tariff zones, while barrier lots remain paid throughout the holiday period.
- The Transport Department will adjust rates from January 2 on selected streets, making parking cheaper on 12 streets where occupancy is below 50%, including reductions to 40 rubles on some segments.
- Officials said 89% of paid-parking segments keep current rates, while about 10.5% with 80–90% occupancy will see increases within the existing tariff grid; cuts include streets such as Mikhaila Yakushina and Igorya Chislenko and several Marjina Roshcha drives.
- Deputy Mayor Maksim Liksutov said dynamic pricing will expand in 2026, with fees ranging from zero to the maximum based on predicted demand.
