The series is set one year after the death of Sherlock Holmes, with Watson resuming his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders.
The series will also feature the character of Moriarty, who is responsible for Holmes's death.
Craig Sweeny, a writer and producer on 'Elementary', wrote the pilot and will serve as showrunner and executive producer.
The series is expected to premiere during the 2024-25 broadcast season.
