Overview
- Light to moderate rain during the Monday morning rush hour caused long traffic jams across Greater Hyderabad, slowing commutes and delaying school buses.
- Waterlogging was reported in Uppal, Secunderabad, Mehdipatnam, Lakdi-ka-pul, Aramgarh, Gachibowli, Madhapur, Serilingampally, Patancheru, Lingampally and Kukatpally.
- Traffic police were deployed to manage congestion as increased private and RTC bus flows compounded bottlenecks following post-Dasara returns.
- TSDPS recorded localized totals of 1.48 cm at Shaikpet and 1.28 cm at the Raidurg ward office by noon, after earlier district highs reached 11 cm at Eturunagaram in Mulugu.
- The IMD attributed the rains to a Bihar–Tamil Nadu surface trough and maintained a yellow alert for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, while a deep depression over the Arabian Sea was expected to make landfall in Oman.
