Morning Crashes Snarl Valencia and Murcia Arteries With Long Rush‑Hour Queues

Traffic authorities report persistent delays despite vehicle clearance, with routine peak demand magnifying the backlogs.

Overview

  • An early accident on the V-31 at the Valencia entry generated more than 12 kilometres of delays even after the involved vehicles were removed, with queues from km 1 in Silla to km 13 at Horno de Alcedo toward the city.
  • The DGT also listed heavy congestion across Valencia’s network during the morning peak, including notable slowdowns on the A-7, V-30, CV-35 and CV-36 in multiple stretches.
  • In Murcia, multiple collisions around 09:00 at the A-7/A-30 junction near the shopping centres (MU-32) caused severe tailbacks affecting several approaches.
  • Emergency service 112 said it had received no injury reports related to the Murcia incidents despite the extensive queues.
  • On Tuesday, a truck–van collision on the N-I near Legorreta in Gipuzkoa closed a lane, forced diversions and produced up to eight kilometres of queues before traffic gradually eased after 09:00.
