Morgan Wallen's Nashville Bar Sign Approved After Initial Rejection

The Metro Nashville City Council reversed its earlier decision, allowing the installation of a 20-foot neon sign for Wallen's bar following prior controversy.

• The Metro Nashville City Council approved the neon sign for Morgan Wallen's This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen with a 30-1 vote on December 17, 2024.
• The approval follows a failed attempt in May when the council denied the request, citing concerns over Wallen's past behavior, including a chair-throwing incident and a prior racial slur controversy.
• Wallen recently pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges related to the chair-throwing incident and was sentenced to a week at a DUI Education Center, two years of probation, and a $350 fine.
• The six-story bar and restaurant, located in Nashville's entertainment district, features three music stages, six bars, and a rooftop area and opened in June 2024.
• Despite past controversies, Wallen has continued to experience professional success, recently winning four Billboard Music Awards, including Top Country Artist and Top Collaboration.
