• National assemblies to form about 71,541 seccional committees began on August 17 and will run through January 25, 2026.
• Each committee must include at least five members from the corresponding electoral section serving three-year terms with gender parity and will handle voter outreach, territorial organization and electoral defense.
• Morena reports roughly 8 million affiliates toward a 10 million target and intends for these committees to carry voice and vote in party decision-making and future electoral structures.
• The party has set a quota of 3,905 committees in Jalisco and is prioritizing one active committee per electoral section in Coahuila ahead of its 2026 elections.
• Morena’s deputies and senators will embark on circumscription-based tours to mobilize support and build consensus with PT and PVEM on a constitutional electoral reform.
