Overview
- In-person registration runs Sept. 10–Oct. 10 at the Secretaría de la Mujer Moreliana, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:30.
- The municipality will provide training in transit rules, first aid and gender perspective to prepare selected candidates to operate units.
- Applicants must be ages 20–50, reside in Morelia, have at least a secondary education, hold a valid driver’s license and possess two or more years of experience driving a manual car.
- Candidate evaluations are set for Oct. 13–17, with selected profiles to be announced Oct. 20.
- Officials initially cited about 10 openings but say there is no cap for qualified applicants, building on training of roughly 800 drivers and 90 marked safe units, with about 12 women currently operating.
