Overview
- The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on July 31 after finding World Class Fireworks “Skull Strobe” rockets can explode before reaching their intended height.
- About 132,440 units are included in the recall; the rockets were sold at fireworks stores nationwide from March 2025 through June 2026 for $12 to $25.
- Consumers can identify the product by SKU 1004351 and black packaging with a skull graphic and should stop using any unexploded rockets immediately to avoid injury.
- Jake’s Fireworks, the Pittsburg, Kansas importer, is offering full refunds and instructs customers to return the rockets to the place of purchase or a Jake’s retail location and to contact 855-587-8816 or stroberecall@jakesfireworks.com for help.
- The recalled rockets were manufactured in China and, so far, no injuries have been reported; retailers are likely to remove affected stock and customers should expect follow-up from sellers during refunds.
