Overview

  • Reservations for stays July 9–22 opened July 8 on Recreation.gov in a soft reopening phase.
  • Park staff and contractors are testing the renovated water and wastewater systems under limited demand before expanding booking windows.
  • The $1.3 million critical infrastructure project replaced water, sewage and electrical lines, improved drainage, relocated wet-ground tent pads and added ADA access.
  • Originally scheduled to finish in 2024, the renovation was delayed by weather and design issues and wrapped up in spring 2025.
  • Moraine Park Campground offers about 240 tent and RV sites, hosts some 30,000 campers annually and is the closest campground to the Beaver Meadows entrance.
