Overview
- Alexandre de Moraes denied for the second time Deputy Gustavo Gayer’s request to visit Jair Bolsonaro because Gayer is investigated in PET 12.042, which bars contact under a July 17 order.
- Moraes authorized visits under supervision by Deputies Altineu Côrtes and Alberto Fraga on November 3 and 4, ex‑driver Nelson Piquet on November 5, and journalist Alexandre Pitolli on November 6.
- Visits must occur between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., with bans on phones, photos and recordings, and mandatory inspections of vehicles leaving Bolsonaro’s residence.
- In a separate ruling, Moraes applied the Chamber’s Resolution No. 30/2025 to suspend Ação Penal 2.652/DF against Gayer for alleged calúnia, difamação and injúria, following the 268–167 vote to halt the case during his term.
- Bolsonaro remains in custodial house arrest tied to an obstruction probe despite a 27‑year, 3‑month conviction, with embargos de declaração scheduled for November 7–14 in the STF First Chamber.
