Moors Valley Reopens After Power Cut, Full Activities Resume 8 a.m. Monday

Power restoration Sunday enabled a phased restart with full services from 8am Monday.

Overview

  • An unexpected local outage on October 19 forced closure of the car park, Visitor Centre and all concessions, and cut phone and email access.
  • Power was restored later on Sunday and the site was declared safe, with the Visitor Centre, gift shop and toilets operating until 5pm.
  • Moors Valley Railway, Go Ape, The Barn Café, Moors Valley Golf, the ice cream kiosk and Explorers Café remained closed for the rest of Sunday.
  • The park said normal operations were scheduled to resume from 8am on October 20 and asked those with bookings to contact event organisers directly.
  • Officials directed the public to social media and the website for updates, and noted this outage followed a site-wide cut on October 4.
