Moonlight Recalls Conventional Peaches Nationwide Over Listeria Risk as FDA Flags Related Peach Salsa

With no illnesses reported, the FDA urges consumers to discard specified peaches and peach salsa.

  • Moonlight Companies recalled select yellow and white peaches sold nationwide Sept. 16–Oct. 29 under Moonlight and some Kroger labels after Listeria was detected in a packing facility.
  • The FDA posted detailed identifiers for affected fruit sold at retailers including Trader Joe’s, Target, Costco, Whole Foods, Walmart and Kroger, covering both individual PLU-stickered fruit and multi-packs.
  • Packages or PLU stickers marked “Organic” or “Washington” are excluded, and consumers can verify PLU, lot codes and UPCs on the FDA website; affected fruit includes facility code P1.
  • Supreme Produce separately recalled a 14-ounce Peach Salsa (UPC 85006540364; best by 10/12/2025–10/29/2025) sold at Kroger in AR, CO, GA, IL, IN, MI, MS, OR, TN and WA.
  • Consumers are advised to discard matching items and sanitize surfaces, with questions and refund inquiries directed to Moonlight Companies at 855-215-5017.
