Monty Williams to Lead TMI Episcopal Basketball Program

The former NBA Coach of the Year will coach his sons at the San Antonio prep school after leaving the Detroit Pistons.

Monty Williams, recently dismissed by the Detroit Pistons, has been hired to coach at TMI Episcopal in San Antonio.
Williams will be coaching his son Elijah, a top high school basketball prospect ranked nationally in the 2026 class.
TMI Episcopal competes in TAPPS' highest division, Class 6A, and previously won the TAPPS Class 5A state championship under former coach Bruce Bowen.
Williams' coaching career includes stints with the Phoenix Suns, where he was named NBA Coach of the Year, and the New Orleans Pelicans.
Alongside Elijah, Williams will also coach his younger son Micah, as the family has recently relocated to San Antonio.
