Montreal Building Owned by Lawyer Targeted by Gunfire Amid Arson Investigations

Police have arrested three suspects following a shooting at a property owned by Emile Benamor, linked to two previous deadly arson incidents.

Three suspects, aged 17, 19, and 20, were arrested in connection with the gunfire at a building in Old Montreal.
The building targeted by gunshots is owned by Emile Benamor, who also owns two properties previously hit by arson, resulting in nine fatalities.
The recent fire at Benamor's Notre-Dame Street East property claimed the lives of a mother and daughter from France.
Police found a firearm in the suspects' vehicle, and charges include discharging a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
A coroner's inquest is underway for the fatal fires, and the investigation results have been forwarded to the Crown for potential charges.
