Montgomery Police Investigate Halloween Night Killing and Separate Pre-Dawn Shooting

Police say the Haynes Lane case appears domestic, with one wound believed self-inflicted.

Officers were called at 10:34 p.m. on Oct. 31 to the 3800 block of Haynes Lane, where a woman was pronounced dead and a man was found with life-threatening injuries.
The injured man was taken to a local hospital, and investigators reported that one of the gunshot wounds appeared self-inflicted.
Police described the Haynes Lane incident as likely domestic-related based on initial information shared by MPD spokesman James Dozier.
In a separate case just before 2 a.m. on Nov. 1, police reported a shooting in the 2500 block of Fairground Road that left a man wounded.
That victim was treated at a local hospital and his injury was not considered life-threatening; no identities or arrest details have been released in either case.
