• Police identified the suspect as Barry Andre Freeman, 51, in the Oct. 11 death of a man found on the 100 block of Dexter Avenue.
• Charging documents allege Freeman’s advances were refused, he struck the victim in the throat, and then sexually assaulted him while the victim was unconscious.
• The victim was identified in court records as David Crowe, 59, who was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:30 a.m.
