Montenegro Court Approves Extradition of 'Cryptocurrency King' Do Kwon

Final decision on handover to South Korea or the U.S. awaits completion of Kwon's prison sentence for document forgery.

  • Do Kwon, the former CEO of Terraform Labs, has been approved for extradition by a court in Montenegro.
  • Kwon is charged in the U.S. with a multibillion-dollar fraud related to the collapse of the stablecoin TerraUSD.

  • The final decision on whether Kwon will be handed over to South Korea or the United States will be made by the justice minister after Kwon completes his prison sentence.
