Montana Fire Chief Arrested for Jan. 6 Capitol Attack

Frank Dahlquist faces charges including assault and obstruction of law enforcement, accused of spraying officers with chemical irritant.

Frank Dahlquist, a Montana fire chief, has been arrested and charged in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Dahlquist is accused of spraying chemical irritant directly into the faces of a Capitol Police officer and a Metropolitan Police officer.
He was identified with the help of online sleuths who matched a photo of him from the riot to a 2022 news story featuring a video interview with Dahlquist.
Dahlquist had previously lost a job in Washington state due to his opposition to a COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
More than 1,200 people have been arrested in connection with the Jan. 6 attack, with nearly 900 people convicted so far.
