Monster Train 2 Announced, Expanding the Beloved Roguelike Deckbuilder

The sequel to the 2020 indie hit introduces new clans, mechanics, and a story of angels and demons uniting against Titans.

Monster Train 2 is set to release later in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
The game builds on the original's roguelike deckbuilding and tower defense mechanics while introducing five new clans, with two showcased in the demo: Banished and Pyreborn.
The sequel's story focuses on angels and demons teaming up to fight Titans, shifting the setting from Hell to Heaven.
New gameplay elements include mechanics like Pyregel, a substance that increases damage dealt to enemies, and train customization options.
A Steam Next Fest demo is currently available, offering a preview of the new clans, mechanics, and its heavy metal-inspired soundtrack.
