Monster Hunter: World Surpasses 25 Million Sales, Franchise Nears 100 Million

Capcom's flagship title sets a new record for the company, as the Monster Hunter series celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Monster Hunter: World has become Capcom's best-selling game ever, reaching over 25 million copies sold globally.
The entire Monster Hunter franchise has now sold more than 97 million copies worldwide, making it Capcom's second best-selling IP.
The Iceborn Master Edition, which includes the base game and the Iceborn expansion, has sold 4.5 million copies as of December 31, 2023.
Capcom is currently developing Monster Hunter Wilds, expected to release in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
A recent surge in Steam activity saw Monster Hunter: World's active players jump from around 43,000 to over 160,000 within a few days.
