Overview

• Idukki was the worst hit with flash floods and landslips, prompting evacuations and the first confirmed death after a landslide-related road incident near Vellaramkunnu.
• Kerala issued orange alerts for multiple northern districts and warned fishermen to stay off rough seas through October 22, as additional dams in the Idukki catchments released water.
