  • Police said about 40 relatives and friends had visited the temple when a sudden downpour sent water rushing from nearby hills, sweeping the four away as they crossed a low stream on foot.

  • Three women and a four‑year‑old girl were found and another girl remained missing as NDRF and SDRF teams searched, with high flows linked to opened Matrikundiya Dam gates and five survivors rescued after climbing onto the vehicle.
