Mondelēz Recalls Select Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches Over Mislabeled Packs in 8 States

The FDA-notified, 70-case action follows an internal finding of cheese-labeled inner sleeves containing peanut butter, creating risk for people with peanut allergies.

  • The recall covers 27.6-ounce, 20-count Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwich cartons with UPC 44000 07584 2, plant code AE, and Best When Used By dates Jan. 8, 2026 and Jan. 15, 2026.
  • Seventy cases were shipped to select retailers in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.
  • Outer cartons are correctly labeled as peanut butter and note the peanut allergen; some individually wrapped sleeves inside may be mislabeled as cheese.
  • No illnesses or injuries have been reported, corrective actions are underway, and the notice is not an expansion of a related July issue.
  • Consumers with peanut allergies are urged to discard affected products and can contact Mondelēz at 1-844-366-1171 for questions or refunds.
