Mohanlal's Fantasy Film 'Barroz' to Stream on Disney+ Hotstar Starting January 22

The Malayalam superstar's directorial debut, produced with a record-breaking budget, transitions to OTT after a short theatrical run.

'Barroz,' a Malayalam fantasy film directed by and starring Mohanlal, will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starting January 22, 2025.
The movie will stream in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, with a Hindi version set for a later release.
The film, based on Jijo Punnoose's novel, follows the titular character, a treasure guardian from the Da Gama lineage, in a visually rich fantasy adventure.
Despite being the most expensive Malayalam film ever made with a budget of ₹150 crore, 'Barroz' underperformed at the box office, grossing only ₹15.1 crore globally.
The OTT release will feature a 2D version of the film, excluding the 3D experience offered during its theatrical release.
