Overview
- Mohanlal announced on Thursday that Athimanoharam will open in theatres on December 24, 2026, and posted a first-look poster featuring Meera Jasmine.
- The poster frames Mohanlal as a police officer and Meera Jasmine as his on-screen wife, marking a long-awaited reunion for the pair.
- The film is directed by Tharun Moorthy, written by Ratheesh Ravi, scored by Jakes Bejoy and produced by Ashiq Usman in his first collaboration with Mohanlal.
- Moorthy publicly denied reports that filming had stopped, saying the team has been shooting in Thodupuzha for about 78 days and has managed weather-related delays.
- Following the commercial success of Mohanlal and Moorthy's 2025 film Thudarum, the confirmed Christmas release sets Athimanoharam up as a major holiday title and makes further production updates consequential for fans and exhibitors.
