Overview

  • Scheduled for August 25–26, the visit includes inaugurations and foundation stones across urban infrastructure, energy, roads and railways totaling about Rs 5,400–5,477 crore in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Mehsana.
  • At Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur plant, Modi will flag off the Made‑in‑India e‑VITARA for export to over 100 countries and inaugurate localized production of hybrid battery electrodes at the TDS Lithium‑Ion Battery facility, targeting over 80% domestic battery value.
  • Rail projects worth over Rs 1,400 crore will be dedicated, including doubling of the 65‑km MahesanaPalanpur line and gauge conversion of the Kalol–Kadi–Katosan Road and Bechraji–Ranuj routes, with new passenger and car‑loaded freight services to strengthen logistics.
  • Power distribution works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme of roughly Rs 1,000–1,122 crore in Ahmedabad, Mehsana and Gandhinagar aim to underground networks, cut outages and improve reliability for about 4.25 lakh consumers.
  • Urban upgrades feature AUDA’s Rs 1,624‑crore six‑lane Sardar Patel Ring Road expansion, PMAY (U) in‑situ slum rehabilitation at Ramapir No Tekro, new water and sewerage projects, and foundation stones for two Revenue Department buildings worth Rs 96 crore.
