Overview

• At Jharsuguda, the Prime Minister commissioned more than 97,500 4G towers worth about Rs 37,000 crore, including over 92,600 BSNL sites, with 18,900 funded via Digital Bharat Nidhi to reach roughly 26,700 unconnected villages.
• The new telecom sites are solar-powered and are described as India’s largest green telecom cluster, serving over 20 lakh additional subscribers.
• He flagged off the Amrit Bharat Express between Berhampur and Udhna (Surat) and dedicated or launched rail works including the Sambalpur–Sarla flyover, Koraput–Baiguda doubling, and the Manabar–Koraput–Gorapur section.
• Foundation stones were laid to expand eight IITs—Tirupati, Palakkad, Bhilai, Jammu, Dharwad, Jodhpur, Patna and Indore—at an investment of around Rs 11,000 crore to add capacity for about 10,000 students over four years.
• Sanction orders were distributed for 50,000 homes under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana, and upgrades were initiated to convert MKCG (Berhampur) and VIMSAR (Sambalpur) into super-speciality hospitals.
