Overview

• In Itanagar, the Prime Minister will lay foundation stones for the Heo (240 MW) and Tato‑I (186 MW) hydropower projects in the Siyom sub‑basin, a package valued at over Rs 3,700 crore.
• State and NEEPCO officials say the two plants together are expected to generate about 1,803 million units annually, with Arunachal receiving free power worth over Rs 98 crore and a Local Area Development Fund of over Rs 16 crore every year after commissioning.
• A convention centre at high‑altitude Tawang is on the slate, with a capacity to host more than 1,500 delegates and support tourism and cultural events.
