Modi to Visit Odisha on Sept. 27 for Seva Parv, With Rail, Health and 4G Launches Planned

The chief minister ordered departments to finalise security, logistics, public participation, coordination for a glitch-free programme.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to reach Rangeilunda in Berhampur at 11 a.m. on September 27 to attend the national Seva Parv event.
  • The programme will feature capacity expansion for eight IITs, doubling of the Koraput–Baiguda and Manabar–Koraput–Gorapur railway lines, and inauguration of the Sambalpur–Sarala flyover.
  • BSNL’s indigenously developed 4G network services are slated for a nationwide launch during the event.
  • MKCG Medical College in Berhampur and VIMSAR in Sambalpur will be declared world-class superspecialty institutions.
  • Officials have reviewed travel routes, venue readiness, force deployment, utilities and inter-departmental coordination, with beneficiary disbursals for about 50,000 housing recipients and a national skill initiative on the agenda.
