Modi to Visit Andhra Pradesh on Oct. 16 to Launch ₹13,430-Crore Projects After Srisailam Puja

  • According to the PMO, the visit begins with prayers at Srisailam around 11:15 a.m., a stop at the Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, and a large public programme in Kurnool later in the day.

  • Energy and defence items on the docket include GAIL’s ₹1,730-crore SrikakulamAngul gas pipeline, Indian Oil’s ₹200-crore LPG bottling plant at Chittoor, and BEL’s ₹360-crore Advanced Night Vision Products Factory in Krishna district.
  • State authorities say over 9,000 police personnel, no‑drone zones and traffic curbs are in place for the Srisailam and Kurnool events, while a reported Google–AP MoU for a 1‑GW data centre in Visakhapatnam was scheduled this week.
