Overview
- NHSRCL reports more than 326 km of viaduct completed, with 17 river bridges, 10 steel bridges, and around 400 km of pier work in place.
- Over 400,000 noise barriers are installed along more than 206 km of track, and excavation continues on seven mountain tunnels in Maharashtra’s Palghar district.
- The Surat–Bilimora stretch is among the most advanced, with civil structures and track-bed laid, and the service is projected to cut Mumbai–Ahmedabad travel to about 127 minutes once operational.
- Station construction is progressing across the corridor, with Gujarat superstructures at an advanced stage, three elevated stations underway in Maharashtra, and ongoing work at the underground Mumbai terminus.
