Modi to Release 24th PM‑Kisan Instalment From Gujarat

The payment will put a modest cash transfer into millions of farmers’ bank accounts to help cover farm and household costs.

Overview

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over a national event in Bhildi, Banaskantha, on October 30 to release the 24th instalment of the PM‑Kisan programme.
  • The government says the instalment will transfer more than Rs 18,680 crore by direct benefit transfer to roughly 9.34 crore eligible landholding farmer families, with each family receiving Rs 2,000.
  • Gujarat will see over 52.33 lakh families get more than Rs 1,051 crore as part of the rollout, and the main programme will include the inauguration of the Rs 328.77 crore Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre and foundation stones for two Banas Dairy compressed biogas plants.
  • Officials have urged beneficiaries to complete mandatory e‑KYC and verify Aadhaar, bank and land records on the PM‑Kisan portal to avoid payments being withheld for verification.
  • The instalment continues a multi‑year support drive that has already routed more than Rs 4.47 lakh crore to over 11 crore families through 23 prior releases and is paired with district and cluster events and other infrastructure launches meant to strengthen farm incomes.
