Overview
- On Oct 30, the Prime Minister will flag off 25 electric buses and inaugurate or lay foundations for projects valued at over Rs 1,140 crore, with some outlets reporting totals near Rs 1,220 crore.
- The Oct 31 programme includes a floral tribute, the Ekta Diwas pledge and a Republic Day–style parade with CAPF and state police contingents, tableaux and a large cultural showcase.
- This year’s parade will be led by women officers, with IPS officer Simran Bhardwaj as parade commander and women commanding CAPF and several state police contingents.
