Overview
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to open the Delhi BJP office on September 29 during Navratri, an event announced by state president Virendra Sachdeva at a Sunday press conference.
- The inauguration at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg is slated to draw BJP national president J.P. Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, union ministers, MPs, MLAs, councillors and thousands of party workers.
- The headquarters spans 825 square metres across five storeys with two basements for about 50 vehicles, a ground-floor press and reception area, a 300-seat auditorium and dedicated office floors.
- J.P. Nadda laid the foundation stone on June 9, 2023, and party leaders say long-pending land issues for the state office were resolved to enable construction.
- The move follows earlier bases at Ajmeri Gate and Rakabganj Road and more than three decades at 14 Pandit Pant Marg, with leaders linking the project to a drive to build offices nationwide and noting all 14 Delhi organisational districts now have offices.
