Overview

  • The defence ministry says CCC-2025 will run from September 15 to 17 with the theme Year of Reforms — Transforming for the Future, focusing on reforms, transformation and change, and operational preparedness.
  • Top commanders are expected to review the security situation along the Line of Actual Control with China, the Line of Control with Pakistan, and internal security in Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Lessons from May’s Operation Sindoor are set to figure prominently in deliberations on readiness and future force planning.
  • Debate over theaterisation and deeper integration is on the agenda, with acknowledged differences among the services to be discussed in the national interest.
  • The conference will include interactive sessions to bring field perspectives into high-level discussions and will be attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, NSA Ajit Doval, CDS Gen Anil Chauhan and the three service chiefs; discussions are also expected to touch on indigenisation and the proposed Sudarshan Chakra air and missile defence concept.
