  • Modi will deliver his 12th Independence Day address from the Red Fort at 7:45 AM on August 15 following the flag hoisting and a guard of honour.
  • The ceremony will be broadcast live on Doordarshan, Aajtak’s TV and digital platforms and the Press Information Bureau’s YouTube channel.
  • The Defence Ministry confirmed a 21-gun salute by the 1721 Field Battery, a 128-member national salute and Mi-17 helicopters showering flowers bearing national and Operation Sindoor flags.
  • The official ‘Naya Bharat’ theme will spotlight Operation Sindoor with dedicated logos, a Chinab-Bridge watermark and stage decorations.
  • About 5,000 special guests—including athletes, farmers and scheme beneficiaries—will attend while roughly 2,500 NCC cadets and My Bharat volunteers form the ‘Naya Bharat’ logo on Gyanpath.
