Modi to Attend Nov. 25 Flag Hoisting at Ayodhya Ram Temple

Trust leaders say the core shrine will be ready by then, with other works finishing in 2026.

Overview

  • A mock drill has been conducted, and final decisions on the flag’s design, color and security rest with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, with Champat Rai tasked to settle the design.
  • The flag will be mounted on a 360-degree rotating chamber to withstand high winds, following trials by experts from Tata Consultancy and Larsen & Toubro.
  • Ceremonies will run November 21–25, culminating in hoisting a 21-foot flag on a 42-foot pole atop the 161-foot spire, coinciding with Vivah Panchami.
  • The Trust has raised the guest list to 10,000, with rituals to be performed by acharyas from Ayodhya and Kashi.
  • Officials say the temple will be ready for devotees to visit the full complex by November 25, while the boundary wall and auditorium extend into 2026 and the Vatika garden targets 750 trees and 70% greenery by that date.
