• The PMML Society was reconstituted earlier this year with new members such as Smriti Irani and Shekhar Kapur, and Modi chaired its 47th AGM at Teen Murti Bhawan on June 23.
• Society members reached consensus to initiate legal action to recover Jawaharlal Nehru’s private papers that were taken by Sonia Gandhi in 2008.
• Modi introduced plans for a “Museum Map of India” and called for a comprehensive national database of all museums with data on footfall and quality standards.
• The PMML Society committed to compiling and preserving all legal documents related to the 1975–77 Emergency to mark its 50th anniversary.
• The society confirmed Nripendra Mishra’s five-year extension as chair, appointed Ashwani Lohani as director, and capped embargo periods on new private paper donations at five years with rare extensions up to ten.
