Modi Meets Qualcomm CEO as Chipmaker Backs IndiaAI, Semiconductor Missions and 6G Transition

  • In a separate interview, Amon described India as a new laboratory for agentic AI and characterized 6G as connectivity for the age of AI that shifts more intelligence to devices at the edge.
  • The meeting followed Qualcomm’s Edge AI and 6G demonstrations at India Mobile Congress 2025 and came a day after NITI Aayog proposed a National AI Talent Mission with the potential to create up to 4 million jobs over five years.
